Classic Cottages is a collection of over 100 home plans in sizes ranging from 576 square feet to more than 3,000 square feet. Our architect has designed all listed plans and most have already been built. The Classic Cottages are ideal for narrow lots. Most plans will fit on lots 50 feet wide with some fitting on lots as narrow as 35 feet (depending on local setback requirements). The plans conform to the CABO code, a national code for the construction of one and two family homes. You will probably want the help of a local architect or professional home designer, as your particular modifications, site conditions and local codes will usually require their assistance. The construction plans for each Classic Cottage include a foundation plan (raised slab, |
crawl space, or piling plan), detailed floor plans which show dimensions for walls, doors, windows, etc., exterior elevations of each side of the house, framing plans for floors with room sizes and spacing of framing wood, typical wall sections showing details of the framing, construction and insulation, schematic electrical (lighting fixtures, switches and outlets) and mechanical (heating and cooling) plans, specification sheet. Mirror reversal plans are available upon request. Some of the Classic Cottages are shown with open porches, other with screen porches, but all of them can have either. Also, some plans are shown without a fireplace but most will easily accommodate one. Plans for an attached or detached one or two-car garage and garage levels can be provided. |
